Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect exchanges that adopt different interfaces and signal systems via a leased line.
SOLUTION: A relay control section 14 determines the conversion mode of an intermediate signal, having a pattern that a call control signal and a calling signal on a digital leased line 4 cannot take, according to own connection environment information and the connection environment information of a communication party that opposes via the digital leased line 4. Then, according to the determined conversion mode, the conversion processing is made to the call control signal and the intermediate signal between as SS/SRA type four-wire system ODIF processing section 12 or a two-wire system COTIF processing section 13, and a digital leased line connection section 11, thus relaying the call control signal between the digital leased line 4 and the exchanges 3a and 3b.
