Abstract:
To reduce hysteresis of a relief valve due to influence of dynamic pressure.
The upstream side of the valve element 50 of the relief valve other than a portion abutting on a valve seat 42 is formed in a conical shape. Thereby, a change in a direction of a fluid streamline A in the vicinity of the stagnation point of the valve element 50 becomes small in comparison with a spherical valve element. An average flow rate in the vicinity of the stagnation point when the valve is opened is thereby increased to reduce the dynamic pressure. As a result, hysteresis is reduced.
