To suppress vibration and noise generated from a relief valve.
The relief valve includes: a relief valve body 101 including an inflow passage 103, an outflow passage 104 and a seal slope 105; a valve body 110 including an inflow part 111, an outflow part 112 and a slope part 113 which are slidably inserted into the relief valve body 101; an O ring 120 fitted into a groove 119 formed on the outer periphery of the slope part 113; and a spring 130 having an energizing force for pressing the O ring 120 to the seal slope 105. A lift amount of the valve body 110 can be increased by arranging a passage resistance part 150 in at least one of the inflow passage 103 and the outflow passage 104. The vibration and noise of the relief valve 100 caused by a vortex generated over a projection 121 of the O ring 120 can be prevented by reducing the flow speed of a throttle part 123 formed of the projection 121 of the O ring 120 and the seal slope 105.
