To reduce vibration and noise by forming the intake path of a fluid between a housing and one end section of a rotor, forming the discharge path of the fluid between the housing and the other end section of the rotor, and allowing the rotor to act as the impeller of an axial pump feeding the fluid in the rotation axial direction.

An intake path 8 sucking a fluid is formed between a housing 5 and one end section of a rotor 2, and a discharge path 9 discharging the fluid is formed between the housing 5 and the other end section of the rotor 2. The rotor 2 is laminated with steel sheets 21 staggeringly in the rotating direction to have the shape of the impeller of an axial pump feeding the fluid in the rotation axial direction. Since the intake path 8 and discharge path 9 are arranged to pinch the rotor 2 in the rotation axial direction, part of the salient poles of a stator is not notched in forming the intake path 8 or discharge path 9. The force applied in the radial direction of the rotor 2 is balanced by the electromagnetic force generated on the stator 1, and vibration and noise can be reduced.
