Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a residual quantity of a battery more precisely than a conventional one.SOLUTION: A residual quantity detection unit comprises: voltage detection means for detecting a voltage value of a battery; current detection means for detecting a current value of the battery; first determination means for determining a residual quantity of the battery based on the voltage value detected by the voltage detection means; second determination means for determining the residual quantity of the battery based on an integrated value of the current value detected by the current detection means; charging mode determination means for determining a charging mode of the battery; and selection means for selecting any one of the first determination means and the second determination means based on determination results of the charging mode determination means.
