Abstract:
PURPOSE: To increase a surface area without an increase in volume and thereby increase a dust collection amount by using a punching metal which meets the conditions d<2t, when (t) is given as a plate thickness and (d) as a hole diameter, a dust collection electrode, and further using a metal film which is hermetically sealed and coated with an insulating film as an auxiliary electrode.
CONSTITUTION: The objective dust collection unit 16 is made of a metal film such as aluminum foil, and consists of an auxiliary electrode 20 with the both surfaces and lateral ends hermetically sealed and coated with two pieces of insulating film 19, and a dust collection electrode 22 of punching metal with a plate thickness as (t) and holes 21, each having a hole diameter as (d). The plate thickness as (t) and the hole diameter as (d) are related to each other as shown by d<2t. If the hole 21 having a diameter as (d) is provided on the metal plate having a thickness as (t), the surface area of the metal plate indicates a decrease in the cylindrical top and bottom surface areas 2×πd2/4, and instead, an increase in the lateral end area as πdt. That is, if the relationship is established between (t) and (d) as shown by the inequatation of d<2t, the surface area of this metal plate increases.
