Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the subject therapeutic agent having high keratin dissolving and comedo peeling off activities and a high penetrating property, and less in adverse effect, by including a peroxide in a suitable excipient. CONSTITUTION: This therapeutic agent for acne and seborrhea containing a hydroperoxide, is obtained by including a compound of the formula [R1 , R2 are each H or a lower alkyl; R3 is a 1-21C alkyl, a 2-17C alkenyl, a 4-17C alkadienyl, a 2-16C alkoxyalkoxyalkyl, a 4-31C polyaloxyalkyl or a (substituted) 4-6C cycloalkyl; R1 and R3 together form a 4-6C non-aromatic ring; total carbon number of R1 and R2 is <=8, and that of R1 , R2 and R3 is >=3], e.g. tert-butyl-1- hydroperoxide in 0.01-20wt.%, preferably 0.05-10wt.% in a suitable excipient. The therapeutic agent is used if forms of a pomade, a gel agent, an emulsion, a lotion, a stick, a shampooing agent, etc.
