PURPOSE: A remedy for wounds, containing a specific naphthalene derivative, etc., including a compound having antitumor activity.

CONSTITUTION: A remedy containing a compound shown by the formula I or formula II (Z is H, Cl, Br, methylthio, methylsulfinyl, acetyl, or methyl; X and Y are H, OH, or acetyloxy, with the proviso that when Z is H, X and Y are the same group, or X is OH and Y is H, and when Z is group except H, both X and Y are H) as an active ingredient. The remedy can be administered orally, preferably administered parenterally, especially preferably administered in the form of external preparation. When it is administered as an ointment, the ointment in an amount corresponding to 10mgW1g of the compound is applied to an affected part once W several times/daily.
