The mobile remote control apparatus for remotely controlling the device to be controlled is provided with a wireless communication section including: a transmission section for wirelessly transmitting a remote control signal to the device to be controlled; a reception section for receiving a wireless searching signal from the device to be controlled; and a wireless control section for controlling wireless transmission / reception, and with a response section for informing the user about the location of the remote control apparatus when receiving the searching signal from the device to be controlled. The mobile remote control apparatus transmits the remote wireless control signal without directivity and the response section of its own informs the user about the location when receiving the wireless searching signal from the device to be controlled.
