This is related to a remote control device for vehicles which is loaded on a vehicle 10 and provided with a receiving set 20 on the vehicle 10 and connected to a sensor 11 and a device 12 loaded on the vehicle 10, and a portable transmitting set 30 for transmitting operation signals to the receiving set 20, and remotely controls the device 12 based on the operation signal from the transmitting set 30 to the receiving set 20, and the receiving set 20 includes a mode switch 26 in compliance with the various kinds of the signals from the sensor 11 on the vehicle 10, a judging circuit 25 which judge whether the mode selected by the mode switch 26 complies with the kind from the sensor 11, and a display means 24, which displays the result judged by the judging circuit 25.
