A remote control unit for remote controlling electronic devices comprises a base body having an upper surface and a rear surface. It comprises a display unit having a front surface and a back surface and rotatably connected between a closed position for covering the upper surface of the base body by the front surface side and an open position at which the upper surface of the base body is exposed. It also comprises a first input key group provided to the upper surface of the base body for operating a first function of the electronic device, a second input key group provided to one of the back surface of the display unit and the rear surface of the base body for operating a second function of the electronic device, and a display part provided to the display unit.
