PURPOSE: To carry out illumination in front of a car and illumination in a compartment by a simple operation by a transmitter while simplifying a system mechanism for the illumination of the car.

CONSTITUTION: An illumination indicating signal is output from a transmitter 2 when a second switch 4 for lighting an illuminating lamp mounted on the transmitter 2 is operated by a switch for lighting the lamp while a head lamp 18 is lit within a fixed time when a second detecting signal is generated in a timer 20 by reason of the detecting signal of a getting-off detector 19 in an illumination control circuit 14 when the illumination indicating signal received by a receiver 9 through an antenna 8 is applied to the illumination control circuit 14 through a code discriminating circuit 10 on the car 1 side. Control is conducted to light an indoor lamp 16 after a fixed time, when the supply of the second detecting signal is stopped.
