Thus, no matter how many times an operation switch 3 is pressed, operation start signals are not outputted from a NOR circuit 4. Then, when the transmission and reception of signals between this remote controller 1 and a main body 2 are not performed continuously for prescribed time or the operation switch 3 is pressed again and an operation is turned off, the microcomputer 11 of the remote controller 1 switches the operation mode from the normal operation mode to the low power consumption mode and enters an operation standby state. As soon as it is switched to the low power consumption mode, the operation switch reception port swp is switched from the high state to a low state. Further, a communication state is switched from the regular communication system to the occasional communication system.
