To provide a remote controller capable of easily limiting operation items displayed on an operation picture according to operator's operation authority.
The remote controller 5 includes an operator information acquiring means 52 of acquiring operator information characteristic of an operator, a first storage means 56 of relating and storing the operator information and operation authority of electronic equipment, a second storage means 56 of storing operation items of the electronic equipment, a display means 53 of displaying the operation picture, an input means 54 for performing input operation, an operation signal output means 55 of outputting an operation signal corresponding to the input operation, and a control means 57 of controlling the remote controller 5. The control means 57 includes an operation item acquisition unit which acquires operation items operable by operation authority related to the operator information based upon the acquired operator information, an operation picture generating unit which generates an operation picture corresponding to the acquired operation item, and an image output unit which displays the operation picture by a display means.
