Infrared rays, which are projected by an infrared ray-emitting part 11 of a transmitting part 1, are received by an infrared ray-receiving part 21, and an electric signal which corresponds to the received infrared rays from the part 21 is supplied to a detection part 22 and two level comparison parts 24 and 25. The part 22 converts the electric signal which is outputted from the part 21 into an instruction code. A microcomputer part 26 controls an operation of the equipment, so as to perform the operation which is instructed by the instruction code that is supplied by the part 22, also detects the intensity of the infrared rays which are projected by the part 1, according to a compared result in the two parts 24 and 25 and performs display such as a bar display, etc., in accordance with the intensity of the detected infrared rays in an operation display part 27.
