The remote copy system including an MFP capable of a pre-read operation includes; a discrimination means for discriminating a printing capability of a printer; a candidate generation means which takes image forming apparatus which the determination means determines to be able to execute print processing contents determined by attributes of a document obtained by the pre-read operation, as candidates of an image forming apparatus which image data will be transmitted to and be printed by; and an indication means which displays candidates of the image forming apparatus, which the candidate generation means generates, and makes a user select an image forming apparatus and defines the selected image forming apparatus as an image forming apparatus which image data should be transmitted to and printed by after the completion of setting of a print condition.
