PURPOSE: To transmit conveniently the trouble information on an electronic computer by holding the trouble information by a remote maintenance controller installed between the electronic computer and a communication circuit, and also sending the information independently of the operation of the electronic computer.

CONSTITUTION: The remote maintenance controller 10 is installed between the user-side electronic computer 1 connected to a trouble information storage file 2 and the communication circuit 5, and the file command control circuit 12 in the controller 10, control circuit 13 for a file 20, communication circuit control circuit 14, and console control circuit 15 are controlled by a microprocessor 11 which operates independently of the computer 1. A communication controller 9 connected to a circuit 5 is connected to the electronic computer 6 on the side of a maintenence center, and a trouble information recovery file 7 is connected to the computer 6. Consequently, the copy program 30 in the computer 1 is started at the user side to take a copy into the file 20, and the copy is transmitted optionally by operating the keyboard 22 of the controller 10.
