An onboard terminal means 14 mounted on a ship 12, a ship management means 18 provided in a ship management company 16, and an operation information management means 22 provided in an apparatus manufacturer 20 can communicate each other via INMARSAT 28. The onboard terminal means 14 obtains operation information of a main engine 24 through a sensor 26 and sends the same to the ship management means 18. The ship management means 18 forwards the received operation information to the operation information management means 22. The operation information management means 22 performs a performance diagnosis and a maintenance diagnosis based on the received operation information and sends the same together with general management information and technical information or the like to the ship management means 18. The ship management means 18 forwards the information to the onboard terminal means 14.
