This remote monitoring system and method connect the medical information to the images. This remote monitoring system includes a monitoring module, an information processing module and a remote receiving module. The remote monitoring method is to insert the medical information acquired by detecting and imaging the medical environment and the physiological state of a patient and instantaneously set it in the image by an electronic watermark method and, after encoding the image containing hid medical information, transmits it to a family (or a nursing person) in the distance. The patient's family instantaneously decodes the encoded image and instantly reads the medical information hid in the image to understand the medical state of the patient. The family may find the abnormality and adjust the medical environment and facilities in the distance.
