Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method enabling a user to recognize that a controller related to a remote monitoring system is in a process of updating firmware.SOLUTION: In a remote monitoring system comprising a portable terminal 40 that a user operates, a server 70 communicating with the portable terminal 40, and a HEMS (Home Energy Management System) controller 30 communicating with the server 70, the portable terminal 40 communicates with the HEMS controller 30 via the server 70, and the server 70 communicates with the HEMS controller 30 to recognize the start and end of update of firmware of the HEMS controller 30. When there is an operation instruction from the portable terminal 40 to the HEMS controller 30 during the update of the firmware of the HEMS controller 30, the server notifies the portable terminal 40 of the fact that the firmware of the HEMS controller 30 is in a process of the updating.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
