To provide a remote supervisory system for elevators by which increase in the use time of a public channel and a communication cost can be suppressed even when number of elevators supervised by a supervisory center is increased and any countermeasure can be taken even on the occurrence of a communication fault.
The remote supervisory system for elevators is provided with an elevator controller 1 that controls elevators, an elevator supervisory device 2 that supervises a state of the elevators and transmits a signal in response to a state, a supervisory center 3 that remotely supervises intensively the state of the elevators, a supervisory terminal 4 that is provided for the supervisory center 3 and receives a signal from the elevator supervisory device 2, and a public channel 6 connecting the elevator supervisory device 2 and the supervisory terminal 4. The elevator supervisory device 2 and the supervisory terminal 4 communicate information in the case of setup or restoration from interruption.
