To achieve a remote operation by the gestures of a user by simple processing which can be applied even to a home electrical appliance or the like.

This remotely-controlled device is provided with an imaging part 10 for photographing a user; a featured point detection part 15 for detecting the featured points of a user from the pickup image; a gesture estimation part 16 for estimating the gesture of a user based on the location information of the featured point; and an operation signal transmitting part 17 for transmitting an operation signal corresponding to the gesture. A featured point detection part 15 performs detection processing whose precision is high, and whose calculation quantity is large in the first region of the pickup image, and performs detection processing whose precision is low, and whose calculation quantity is small in the second region, and integrates both the processing results for detecting the featured points.
