PURPOSE: Apparatus for completely removing powder particles around electrodes for getting rid of the defect of the painted surface due to the flying of spit of the powder particles.

CONSTITUTION: There is provided a gas-jetting passage for removing powder particles around electrodes. The periphery of a spray gun 1 is covered with a cylindrical cover formed by a porous material 2 having an air chamber 3. Non-contact surface is formed between the outer wall of the chamber and the powder particles by jetting always a gas stream through the outer wall of the chamber 3. In order to prevent the diffusion of the powder particles due to flushing within the spray gun or a feeding hose, the cylindrical cover is moved toward the head of the spray gun during cleaning. Further, a dust-suction nozzle 4 is provided, and the suction by means of a dust collector 11 is conducted.
