Title:
REMOVAL OF ASTRINGENT SKIN AND FINE POWDER FROM GROUND COFFEE BEAN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS60149345
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To carry out the suction and removal of the astringent skin and fine powder of ground coffee beans, easily, by putting the ground coffee beans in a container furnished with a plate made of a natural or artifical organic solid insulation material, etc., and charging the plate with electrostatic charge by shaking the vessel as a whole.

CONSTITUTION: The vessel 1 containing ground coffee beans is closed with a lid 2 furnished with a plastic plate made of a natural or artificial organic solid insulation material or its composite material. The vessel is shaken lightly as a whole to make the ground coffee beans contact with the plastic plate 3 and deposit electrostatic charge to the plastic plate 3. The astringent skin and the fine powder in the ground beans are attracted to the plastic plate by the charge. Thereafter, the lid 2 is removed, and the astringent skin and fine powder attached to the plastic plate 3 are wiped off. The skin, etc. can be removed easily and efficiently by this process.
