Title:
REMOVAL OF CO2 AND H2S FROM CRUDE GAS OBTAINED BY STEAM CRACKING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000273470
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a removing method of CO2 and H2S from a crude gas obtained by cracking of naphtha, by which a serious disadvantage causing adverse consequence in polymer formation (sedimentation in the discharge shaft, blockage of the inlet channel) can be avoided.

This method uses an absorption column having tunnel trays whose gas passage openings are fitted with chimneys arranged in hoods, where the heights of the respective chimneys are above the height of a shaft outlet, for removing CO2 and H2S from an ethene- and propene-enriched crude gas obtained by naphtha cracking by wet chemical washing with caustic lyes.
