Abstract:

To remove residues remaining at a groove part of a trough without needing manpower.SOLUTION: A removal mechanism (1) removes residues (R) of molten metal existing in a groove part (11) formed at a trough (10) which guides the molten metal into a cast from the groove part (11). The removal mechanism (1) includes: a holding part (30) which may be inserted into the groove part (11) and holds the residues (R); and a moving part (40) which moves the residues (R) remaining at the groove part (11) to a holding position (P1) where the holding part (30) may hold the residues (R).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
