Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain quality reduction and yield reduction in a product.SOLUTION: After melting a cast piece cast by a continuous casting machine, the surface temperature Tof the cast piece and the surface temperature Tof molten-cut dripping of sticking to a cast piece reverse surface are measured. When molten-cutting the molten-cut dripping of sticking to the cast piece by a molten-cut machine, the molten-cut dripping is molten-cut by a molten-cut oxygen flow rate Q for satisfying the following formula.3600×0.5×A×(2×10×(878.26-0.12T-0.87T)/578.80ρ)≤Q≤3600×0.5×A×(2×10×(Lmax/r-0.12T-0.87T+733.26)/578.80ρ). Here, A is the area of an oxygen supply hole formed in the molten-cut machine, and Lmax is the cut-down length of a product, and (r) is the draft ratio expressed by a cast piece thickness/a product thickness, and ρ is density of oxygen.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
