PURPOSE: To provide a titled device which is designed to remove surely the cut burrs of an ingot, by shifting a linear cutter by an adequate angle in the moving direction for removing the burrs and setting the same.
CONSTITUTION: A cutter 3A in a remover for cut burrs is shifted by a retreat angle α from the direction vertical to a moving direction for removing the burrs, and is shifted by a prescribed angle (rake angle β) from the direction vertical to a pressing direction in such a way that the side end 15 of the cutter 3A in the moving direction for removing the burr is positioned nearer the pressing direction side than the rear side end 16 in the moving direction for removing the burrs, then the cutter is mounted to a tool rest 13. The cutter 3A is moved upward with the rest 13 so that the edge 6 of the cutter 3A is pressed to an ingot 2 under a specified force. Since the cutter 3A is inclined at the rake angle β, the cutter contacts with the one side end on the bottom surface 4 of the ingot. The cutter 3A and the cutting surface on the surface 4 contact always at a point P irrespectively of the camber, etc. of the ingot 2 in this stage. Since the cutter moves continuously from the point P up to the other end, the cut burrs are removed surely.
