PURPOSE: To make a titled device safe by providing a pipeline which by-passes a bag filter and providing an automatic controller which protects the bag filter by detecting the pressure drops before and behind the bag filter and controlling the flow rate of the gas passing through pipelines.
CONSTITUTION: When the waste gas from a combustion device 1 flows through a pipeline 2 into a dust adsorbing and removing device 3, moving beds of adsorbent media 8 consisting of activated carbon are formed, by which the harmful SOx in the waste gas is adsorbed and flyashes and dusts are removed. Pressure detectors 16, 17 detect the pressure drops before and behind a bag filter and open the damper 14 of a pipeline 12, thereby assuring the safety of the bag filter. An excessive flow rate of the gas is detected with a flowmeter 15 as well and is fed as a signal into a control box 18, which makes the control operations of dampers 9, 13 more reliable. The treated waste gas arriving at the 1st induced draft fan 10 is released through a pipeline 5a and a chimney 7 into the atmosphere.
