Title:
REMOVING METHOD FOR CIRCUIT BREAKER AND CURRENT TRANSFORMER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0282427
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To change promptly and easily a current transformer even after a breaker is assembled by installing a prompt exchange assembly of a current transformer built in the breaker. CONSTITUTION: A current transformer 54 perceives a state of the overcurrent, and trips a breaker 20 sending a signal to an electronic trip unit. A prompt exchange assembly 264 contains a removable insulation board 266 arranged in the neighborhood of an opening hollow portion 267 of an enclosure accommodating a current transformer. The current transformer 54 is shaped like a doughnut, and is arranged in surroundings of a load side conductor 46 fixed to a breaker frame 28. The current transformer 54 and the load side conductor 46 are arranged in the one side opening hollow portion 267 which is integrated with a breaker frame 28. To replace the current transformer 54, the fixation of load side conductor 46 is released after the removable insulation board 266 is detached, and is removed from the breaker enclosure 21 along the direction of the length of the axis of the conductor. Then the current transformer 54 is detached from the breaker enclosure 21. As a result, replacement of a main current transformer on the site is sped up and facilitated.
