Title:
REMOVING METHOD OF DIOXINES IN SEWAGE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3566143
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively decompose and remove dioxines and halogenated organic compounds contained in sewage.
SOLUTION: By this removing method, the sewage containing dioxines is irradiated with UV rays and then dioxines in water to be treated are decomposed and removed by using an acceleration oxidizing treatment using UV rays and ozone jointly. Besides, hydrogen peroxide may be used jointly. By OH radicals having strong oxidation power, dioxines are effectively oxidized and removed. Also, an ozone injection quantity necessary to decompose dioxines is reduced and then this method is economically advantageous.
