Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the removing method of the NOx in a high temp. waste gas using a molding catalyst containing an inorg. fiber which is low in deterioration of the deNOx activity in high temp. area, high in mechanical strength and excellent in durability and heat resistance.

CONSTITUTION: In the removing method of the nitrogen oxide by allowing the nitrogen oxide in the waste gas to contact with the catalyst at high temp. of 450-700°C under the presence of a reducing agent, the catalyst is composed of the carrier consisting essentially of titanium oxide containing the heat resistant inorg. fiber having ≥850°C heat resistant temp., 1-20μm average diameter and 0.5-15mm average length on which an active metal component is deposited.
