To provide a renewed wall surface of the existing wall of a building and the like that can easily be formed in a tile pattern with a pebbly pattern and prevented from being aged for many years; and a method for forming the renewed wall surface.

A primer undercoat paint layer 4 is formed on the wall surface of an existing wall 1 to cover the wall surface. On the surface of the primer undercoat paint layer 4, formed are tile portions 2 and joint portions 3 formed surrounding the tile portions 2. A joint paint layer 5 comprising an inorganic paint is formed in the joint portion 3. A patterned corrugated layer with a pebbly pattern is formed in the tile portions 2 by attaching a filler 6. A basecoat film 7 comprising the inorganic paint is formed on the surface of the tile portions 2 including the patterned corrugated layer. The tile portions 2 are colored using the inorganic paint on the surface of the basecoat film 7 in the pebbly pattern. The colored tile portions 2 and joint portions 3 are formed on their surfaces with a protective film 8 using a hydrophobic coating agent.
