PURPOSE: To repair a median strip to given it excellent durability and strength by placing fender blocks in the longitudinal direction, joining them to each other, filling the inside of the skirt section of the fender blocks with filler material such as mortar, concrete or the like through filling holes.

CONSTITUTION: A fender block 10 is constituted with a skirt portion 11 covering the ground covering portion 1 of a median strip, a fender section 12 of rectangular shape erected on the top of the skirt portion, filling hole 13 communicating with the inside of the skirt portion 11 through the fender portion 12, and reinforcement 14 projecting into the skirt portion 11. These blocks 10 are placed over the ground covering portion 1 which is provided with ground covering reinforcement 20 projecting from the ground covering portion. The blocks 10 are placed along the ground covering portion 1 in their longitudinal direction and joined to each other. Filler material 30 such as mortar, concrete or the like is then put into the inside of the skirt portion 11 through each filling hole 13 up to the vicinity of an upper opening. The filler material is allowed to solidify to unite the read surface R with the block 10.
