To sufficiently reduce wear damage in a stave cooler having a leakage part produced by melting.
A repair structure for a stave cooler includes: a first stave cooler 1; a second stave cooler 12 disposed above the first stave cooler 1; and a third stave cooler disposed below the first stave cooler. The structure has (i) a first short-circuit pipe 9-1 that is communicated with an intact part 14 of a first pipe 2 and has a short-circuit water channel for circulating cooling water in the same and the intact part 14; and (ii) a bypassing pipe for circulating the cooling water, which is circulated in the intact part 14 and the first short-circuit pipe 9-1, through a second cooling water channel 13 or a third cooling water channel. Here, the intact part 14 is a part of the first pipe 2 excluding a non-intact part 3 of the interval from the water leakage generation part 3a produced by partial damage of the first pipe 2 by wear caused by contact with a burden in a blast furnace or by wear damage caused by a heat load till a first feed-water inlet 2a or a first drain inlet 2b.
