Abstract:
To easily and safely measure leakage of a repair valve of a quick air valve for water service.SOLUTION: An air valve 10 is disposed on a fluid pipe conduit through a repair valve. A sealed space 47a in which an air valve hole 20 in a valve chest 11 is opened after fully closing the repair valve, is formed, and a drain pipe 41 with a pressure gauge 43 and a valve 45 for opening the air valve hole are disposed. In the sealed state, the valve 45 is opened, a push bolt 34 is rotated to move a press pin 36 downward from a small air valve hole 22, and a float valve element 21b is lowered to open the small air valve hole. When the air and water in the valve chest are released, the valve is slowly closed. As water pressures of an upper portion and a lower portion of the floating valve element 21a become same as each other, the floating valve element 21a is easily lowered, that is, the floating valve element 21a is lowered by rotating the pressing bolt 33. Then the valve 45 is opened, a discharge amount from the drain pipe is measured, and whether the leakage is the amount to demount the air valve from the repair valve or not, is determined on the basis of an indication pressure of the pressure gauge 43.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
