Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently ensure reinforcing effects by fixing a repairing and reinforcing layer comprising a matrix resin containing single fibers arranged in one direction on the surface of a concrete structure. SOLUTION: A repairing and reinforcing layer 3 comprising a matrix resin containing single fibers 2 arranged in one direction is fixed on the surface of a concrete structure 4. The single fiber 2 being a reinforcing fiber is such that the length of fiber is 50-10,000 times the diameter of fiber, fiber tensile strength is 1,000 MPa or more, and modulus of elasticity in tension is 50 GPa or more. The length of the reinforcing fiber 2 is approximately 50 times the diameter of fiber to sufficiently transmit stresses. If a fiber whose modulus of elasticity in tension is below 50 GPa is used, the tensile rigidity of the layer 3 does not become large enough for the rigidity of a concrete layer, and hence sufficient reinforcing effects cannot be provided. Further if a fiber whose tensile strength is below 1,000 MPa is used, the layer 3 has insufficient strength so that sufficient reinforcing effects cannot be achieved.
