To provide a pipe repairing device, surely repairing a defective part such as a crack caused in pipes without causing a re-leakage over a long period of time, and a method of simply repairing pipes using the pipe repairing device.
This pipe repairing device includes: a hollow pipe, with one end sealed, and provided with a hole at the side of the end part; an umbrella-like member formed of an elastic body, mounted at the end part on the sealing side of the hollow pipe openably and closably; and a cup-like member fitted to the middle part of the hollow pipe opened toward the umbrella-like member. Further, the device is characterized in that a pipe opening member is further provided on the tip of the umbrella-like member. According to this repairing method, after the umbrella-like member of the pipe repairing device is inserted into the inside of the pipes from a part to be repaired of the pipes, the umbrella-like member is unfolded, and the respective outer edges of the cup-like member and the umbrella-like member are held from the outside and inside of the pipes to be repaired to form a space part. After that, the space part is loaded with a filler through the hole of the hollow pipe.
