PURPOSE: To effectively judge a repairing timing and scale of a refractory material by judging based on the measured result of erosion amount measuring means at a vigorously worn position of the material and the measured result of temperature measuring means.
CONSTITUTION: If a refractory material 3b is eroded to a position 11 of a first point sensed part 5a of a sensor 5 as an operation is advanced, the part 5a is disconnected, an abrupt change in an electric resistance is detected by an erosion amount measuring unit 8, an arrival of an initial blowing repairing timing of the material 3b is judged by judging means 9, an alarm is generated, and an initial blowing repair is conducted. If a large wear of the material 3b occurs due to a crack, deterioration, change in quality, a second point sensed part 3b is melted, and an abrupt temperature rise is simultaneously observed, the means 9 judges an arrival of an intermediate scale blowing repairing timing, outputs an alarm, and an intermediate scale blowing repair is conducted. If measured temperature data by a thermocouple 6 exceeds a temperature threshold T1, the initial blowing repair is conducted, while if it exceeds a limit threshold value T2, the operation of a facility having the material 3b is stopped in emergency.
