Title:
REPEATED SIGNAL-TO-INTERFERENCE RATIO ESTIMATION FOR WCDMA
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000049700
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a stable received signal strength index (RSSI) estimate not to be rapidly fluctuated in a wide band code division multiple access(WCDMA) system to use a pilot symbol.

An estimation circuit provided in an SIR(Signal-to-Interference Ratio) measuring circuit 132 receives plural prescribed signals (pilot symbols) from an external signal source. The plural prescribed signals are respectively separated timewisely. The estimation circuit generates a first estimate signal in response to at least one of plural prescribed signals. An average circuit receives a data signal and at least one of plural prescribed signals. The average circuit generates an average signal from the data signal (virtual pilot symbol) and at least one of plural prescribed signals.
