Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the access from an unanthorized network and to automatically and exactly set a network address.
CONSTITUTION: In a filtering processing part 18, a received apple talk frame 12 is analyzed, and the network number contained in a DDP(datagram/delivery/ protocol) and a preliminarily registered transmission origin network number are compared according to the type of the DDP. When the number is not registered, a filtering is performed for the received frame. In an address analysis processing part 28, the network address in a received IPX frame 22 is analyzed and a proper network address is set based on this analysis result.
