PURPOSE: To make it possible to transcribe a signal surface in a short time and with high precision by setting a replica material, which contains resin setting by ultraviolet rays, electron beams, etc., in contact with an original disk or stamper.
CONSTITUTION: On the signal surface of original video disk 1, ultraviolet-ray- setting resin is applied to 10W100μm to form resin layer 2. Then, spacer 4 is prevented from flowing out because resin layer 2 uses an acrylic or polyester monomer, oligomer, etc., and has fluidity. Transparent substrate 3, made of acryl, vinyl chloride, etc., brought into close contact with the top surface of laer 2, is irradiated with ultraviolet rays 5 to set layer 2 in a short time. After setting, resin 2 and original disk 1 are broken away to obtain on transparent substrate 3 a replica with transcribed signal bits. Thus, the replica of high transcription precision can be manufactured in a short time.
