To reduce sales work, and to prepare a daily report accurately recording activities of working outside in a short time.
A position detector 3 carried by a sales representative working outside generates time series data by storing positional information determined by a GPS receiver 11 every certain time, and time information from a timepiece 13 in an IC card 5. After returning to the office, a daily report preparing device 7 reads the time series data from the IC card 5, and it is divided into time zones wherein the position detector 3 was not moving and time zones wherein it was moving. Map information and transportation names corresponding to each time zone are retrieved from a CDROM 35, and they are displayed in a CRT 39 along with each time zone. The sales representative fills necessary items through a keyboard 43 to complete the daily report. By using the position detector 3 and the daily report creating device 7, a memo of a place of a business negotiation, and transportation becomes unnecessary, and the daily report can be accurately prepared in a short time.
