Title:
REPRODUCED LEATHER FOR SHOE CORE MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08173206
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a reproduced leather for a shoe core material having a high moldability, lighter than the conventional core material, and having better fit feeling, little dispersion of products, and high strength.

CONSTITUTION: Leather chips (shaving chips or the like) generated at the time of leather machining are dissociated into a fiber shape. Fiber-like leather chips of 60-90wt.% beaten to the Canadian standard freeness of 100-500ml and fibers of 40-10wt.% made of at least two or more kinds of polymers different in melting point are combined and dispersed in a water medium to obtain slurry, and slurry is formed into a sheet by a paper making machine. The sheet is coated or impregnated with a binder resin of 20-5Owt.% to set the breaking length to 1.0Km or above, and the breaking elongation to 20% or above, the tensile elastic modulus to 20Kgf/cm2 or above (geometrical mean value of values in the vertical direction and horizontal direction respectively).
