The apparatus comprises: a content storage part 17 which stores reproducible data; a database storage part 18 which stores, as a database, information on the data stored in the content storage part 17; and a control part 16 which updates the database in the database storage part 18 when the data stored in the content storage part 17 is changed. When the database before the update includes information on non-reproducible data and the non-reproducible data is not changed, the information on the non-reproducible data is kept when the database is updated.
