Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video/audio reproduction system where a video/audio reproducing device can control a video/audio characteristics of a video/audio output device.
SOLUTION: The video/audio reproducing device is provided with a means that superimposes a video/audio characteristics control signal to control a video characteristics and/or audio characteristics of a video/audio output device on an operating mode switching signal that is supplied from the video/audio reproducing device to the video/audio output device to transmit the video/audio reproduced by the video/audio reproducing device to the video/audio output device. The video/audio output device is provided with a means that automatically controls the video characteristics and/or audio characteristics of the video/ audio output device on the basis of the video/audio characteristics control signal superimposed on the operating mode switching signal supplied from the video/ audio reproducing device.
