Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a request routing system for providing a high quality data distribution at a low price for many users.
SOLUTION: A request router RR 1 for distributing data requests to delay servers manages the data storing conditions in each relay server, the MPU loads of the relay servers, the delay times from the relay servers to terminals, and the bands of data distributing routes from the relay servers to the terminal. The router comprises a function for calculating whether an alternate route can be set between the relay server and the terminal if a required band is not ensured for the data distribution, and a function for explicitly setting the route if the route can be set as the calculation result.
