To provide a timer-recording controller for controlling recording operation of a timer-recording apparatus that performs timer-recording of video signals, audio signals or data signals to be broadcasting in timer-recording of video signals to be broadcasting.

A timer-recording controller (TRC) receives a broadcast signal multiplexed with program information containing broadcast-scheduled program information and causes a recorder to timer-record a desired program. The TRC comprises a timer-recording scheduled program list producer (200) and a recorder controller (220) for causing the recorder to timer-record the desired program at the broadcast-scheduled time of the desired program. Further, a detector (54) detects a program (Sdp) which may delay the broadcast time of the timer-recording scheduled program from among the broadcast-scheduled programs. A user operates a user's instructions input unit (56) in accordance with the detected result to control the timer-recording scheduled program list producer (200) and the recorder controller (220) to delay the time (Sret) at which the recorder (52) ends recording by a desired time (Tp).
