PURPOSE: To easily reserve the video recording of a television program by providing a television program table with pieces of program code information on a broadcasting channel, broadcasting data, and start and end times of broadcasting.
CONSTITUTION: The code of a desired program to be recorded which is incorporated in a program information bar code 1C of the television program table 1 is read by a bar code reader 2 and inputted to the signal discriminating circuit 5A of the storage device 5 of VTR. The circuit 5A discriminates a broadcasting channel CH and the start and end times of the broadcasting, which are stored in storage parts 5B, 5C, and 5D. Time information in the storage parts 5C and 5D are compared with the timer signal of a timer 10 by comparators 8 and 9 respectively. When the broadcasting start time coincides with the timer signal, the comparator 8 outputs a setting signal to a switch circuit 6 and a broadcasting start command to a controller CT7. The CT7 applies the video input signal of the CH in the storage part 5 to a television 4 to send the broadcasting start command to the VTR body 3 for the video recording of the TV program, which is stopped with a coincidence signal from the comparator 9.
