To provide a reset switch mechanism for a charging device capable of reliably carrying out resetting with a simple structure.
In a charging device 10 having two electrode terminals 14, 15 abutting on the electrodes of a rechargeable battery 13 stored in a battery compartment 12, and reset switches 15, 16 connected to the reset terminals of a charge control part, the reset switch is composed of a flexible reset contact terminal 15 disposed opposite to the end surface of the rechargeable battery forming one of the two electrode terminals mentioned above, and a fixed reset terminal 16 fixedly disposed adjacent to the reset contact terminal. This reset switch mechanism 10 is so structured that when the battery is not stored in the battery compartment, the reset contact terminal is brought into contact with the fixed reset terminal based on its elasticity, and when the rechargeable battery is stored in the battery compartment, the reset contact terminal is elastically deformed by one end surface of the rechargeable battery and parts from the fixed reset terminal.
